The solar sensor is a small black knob that attaches to the top of the EarthScout. When properly installed, this sensor measures short wave solar radiation. To order, go to EarthScout.com. From the EarthScout app home screen tap the solar sensor. For our demo, the reading for shortwave radiation is 170 watts per square meter.
